Vertigo hovers over RK's images. The spectacular dimensions of his work have led them to go viral. Originally from Tokyo, where he still lives, Ryosuke Kosuge made himself known by illustrating the intensity of the city where he grew up. But now, his field of action extends well past Japan's borders, to portraiture and beyond. RK travels across Asia to reveal energy and contrasts, weightlessness and great speed, the multiplicity of signs in and outside cities, and the saturation they cause. His photographs resonate: we hear the teeming crowds, the density of the urban plan, as well as the calm that emerges.

This book, his first, also tells of the simplicity of daily life, the memory of centuries-old practices and traditions still present in ultra-modern and all-consuming cities. Ryosuke Kosuge produces, as well, images for artists like Takashi Murakami or KAWS, several installations gracing these pages. While working as a graphic designer and DJ, RK became a full-fledged photographer, becoming freelance in April 2018. He also collaborates with brands in various genres and is active mainly in Asia.

A multi-talented photographer, graphic designer, and DJ, RK became a household name in 2013 as the exclusive iPhone photographer for the running crew AFE Tokyo. He has since switched to DSLR cameras and created many of his own masterpieces, including "Grandpa in Akihabara" and "Motorcycle on the Taipei Bridge." His works, which include collaborations with artists like Takashi Murakami, KAWS, Tyga, have been featured not only in Japan but also in many foreign media.
