“After the ceramics exhibition, papers on the walls.
After the weight of terracotta, the lightness of these papers.
On the walls, 10 very limited edition prints have been placed, like small steles arranged on the shelf that runs around the room. The shelf is red; the black wall and black ceramics from the previous exhibition have been kept near the entrance. The background has become light again, and the other colors have disappeared.
The title Écoutez le criquet vert au crépuscule (Listen to the green cricket at dusk) seems to have nothing to do with what is on the walls, and that is precisely the reason for calling on the green cricket! May it cheer us up at dusk!
Because it’s true that it’s serious. For me, these prints are the first experience of assembling modules redesigned in vector and printed in black, gray, and white. It’s an industrial line, colder than usual, it’s a moment of transition, but there is no sadness as long as the green cricket is there—one just has to listen to it.”
— Nathalie Du Pasquier
After collaborating with Mutina and presenting an exhibition dedicated to the new ceramics created for the Italian brand, Nathalie Du Pasquier returns to Galerie Yvon Lambert with a new proposal: Écoutez le criquet vert au crépuscule (Listen to the green cricket at dusk), offering a series of ten exclusive prints specially designed and produced for the occasion.
This edition consists of 10 original prints, each a unique piece. The works are created using black and white inkjet printing on white usumano uncoated paper, chosen for its natural texture and matte finish, in perfect resonance with the artist’s sensitive and graphic universe.
The ten creations form a coherent whole while offering a plurality of rhythms and nuances, a visual constellation oscillating between abstraction and musicality.
