Luca Resta

Luca Resta, born in 1982 in Seriate and based in Paris, has been exploring everyday disposable objects, mainly related to food, which he collects and accumulates since 2006. Through repetition and transformation in various materials, he treats them as archaeological ruins, revealing their uniqueness and sociocultural significance. His installations and sculptures employ copies, patterns, and imperfections, giving rise to sculptural, sound, and architectural projects. Resta’s works become simulacra without an original, true ruins of a possible future, inviting reflection on our relationship with objects and their temporality.
