Boîte à trésor

Yvon and Ève Lambert, together with David Horvitz, director of Matsutake Gallery, are pleased to present

Anna Piroska Tóth & Hanga Tóth
Boîte à trésor

Opening on Sunday, June 28, 2026 from 4 PM to 6 PM
In presence of the director, David Horvitz and the artists

A pen, a colour, a card, a necklace, a ruler, a word written on an eraser, a gaze. Two MiniDV cameras, a dozen little hands.

Together, filming games (jeux de tournage) are invented, and the cameras pass from hand to hand until they are forgotten in the momentum of play.

The school building, the classroom, schoolbags, pencil cases, but also the camera and the film itself rise, fold, close, and open like many boxes filled with affective objects. The film-box (film-boîte) emerges as a key that opens onto experimentation and the subjective perception of childhood.

Hanga Tóth is an artist and filmmaker based between Paris and Budapest. Through films, video installations and research, she explores different modes of attention to the lived environment and mental spaces. Her work is often processual
