David Horvitz
Born in Los Angeles where he lives and works, David Horvitz develops a wide-ranging practice spanning photography, artist books, performances, the Internet, mail art, sound, objects, and natural environments. Engaging with systems of language, time, and distance, his works often circulate independently of him, subtly inserting fictions into everyday contexts.
His work has been presented at MoMA, the New Museum in New York, Palais de Tokyo in Paris, HangarBicocca in Milan, SFMoMA in San Francisco, and S.M.A.K in Ghent. His works are included in collections such as MoMA, LACMA, the Kupferstichkabinett in Berlin, Fonds d’art contemporain in Paris, SFMoMA, and the Nouveau Musée National de Monaco.
