David Horvitz
Né à Los Angeles où il vit et travaille, David Horvitz développe une pratique très large couvrant la photographie, les livres d'artiste, la performance, l'Internet, l'art postal, le son, les objets et les environnements naturels. S'engageant avec les systèmes de langage, de temps et de distance, ses œuvres circulent souvent indépendamment de lui, insérant subtilement des fictions dans des contextes quotidiens.
Son travail a été présenté au MoMA et au New Museum à New York, au Palais de Tokyo à Paris, à HangarBicocca à Milan, au SFMoMA à San Francisco et au S.M.A.K à Gand. Ses œuvres font partie de collections telles que le MoMA, le LACMA, le Kupferstichkabinett à Berlin, le Fonds d’art contemporain à Paris, le SFMoMA et le Nouveau Musée National de Monaco.
