On the occasion of Au 108 rue Vieille du Temple: A Shared Legacy with Galerie Yvon Lambert, an exhibition organized by David Zwirner in close collaboration with Yvon and Ève Lambert, the Vitrines of the Yvon Lambert Bookshop present a selection of invitation cards from the Yvon Lambert Gallery, spanning the period from 1968 to 2014.
Marking forty years since Yvon Lambert opened his gallery at 108 rue Vieille du Temple in 1986, the exhibition at David Zwirner brings together works by artists whose practices and histories reflect the longstanding dialogue between the gallery’s Parisian program and the international art scene.
The invitation cards on view at the bookshop offer a parallel, graphic record of this history. Spanning nearly five decades of exhibitions and collaborations, they trace the evolution of the gallery through its artists, exhibitions, and different locations.
Inside the bookshop, this presentation is accompanied by a selection of bibliophilia artists’ books, rare editions, and multiples published by Yvon Lambert.
