The work is made up of the plans of the work Histoire de la folie by Adel Abdessemed, along with one hundred and one unpublished poems by Adonis.
The set includes six hundred and twenty-eight pages on Munken print white 70 and 115 gr/m2 paper, plus two letters exchanged between Adel Abdessemed and Adonis, folded and slipped under the flaps of the dust jacket, the facsimile of a postcard from Yvon Lambert addressed to Adel Abdessemed, a charcoal pigment print of a portrait of Adonis by Adel Abdessemed made by Droit à l’image in Le Bono (Morbihan), the dust jacket, as well as the colophon, all in a dry-marked case.
The poems are translated from Arabic by Ali Ibrahim and Philippe Sergeant. Lisa Rey-Galiay, at Adel Abdessemed’s studio, coordinated the project. The book is printed by Art & Caractère in Lavaur, bound and cased by Reliure d’art du Centre in Limoge. Stéphane Crémer also saw to its proper execution.
