Loops is Anders Edström’s narrative chronology, from front to back covers. Shot during walks driving, during his travels, always looking, noticing, then stopping when the light and circumstance synthesize for him. He doesn’t look for the spectacular or unusual, but rather for the preternatural union of light and circumstance. For this reason, they may seem mundane, but each is a statement about this union of light, time, and energy.
Interspersed are reflective paint puddles, which he poured at home, getting the light to work for him. Each is a study in “light, form, and texture” — to use E.H. Gombrich’s words from his essay on 15th century paintings north and south of the Alps.
In Loops, they are the creative investigations during this chronology. In Vladimir Nabokov’s Bend Sinister, the novel before writing Lolita, one of his tropes was a puddle, which his main character, Adam Krug, first notices gazing out a window, a recent widower. Puddles distort reflections in reverse, like a “bend sinister,” a heraldic shield with the band going from top left to bottom right instead of the reverse, a bend dexter. The puddle motif reappears as an inkblot, a footprint, an ink stain. Nabokov was a lucky sufferer of synesthesia, the crossing of one sensory modality into another, with words revealing different meanings. He played with language as sound and image, “caressing” details, as he called it, looking for the unnoticed, infusing his stories with undercurrents of his special intuition.
Anders Edström was first discovered by the fashion industry, and first by Martin Margiela, who changed the look of fashion by being unspectacular, for example, simply covering boots, jeans, and backpacks in white gesso. Like Margiela, Anders Edström has always avoided the transcendent, spectacular, or highly stylized in preference for unaffected naturalism, but also for an alternative enlightenment in his synesthetic photography. Loops is a time capsule of his research.

We process orders from Tuesday to Friday, excluding public holidays.

Our photo prints and t-shirts are produced on-demand. Please allow 2-3 weeks for production before these items are shipped. - In-Stock Items (All Other Products)
All other orders are processed and prepared for shipment within 1-2 business days. - Order Notifications
You will receive a confirmation email immediately after your purchase. A second email with tracking information will be sent as soon as your order has shipped. - Restocking
Occasionally, some item may be in the process of restocking. If this causes a delay in preparing your order, we will contact you directly by email to inform you.
2. Shipping & Delivery
- Packaging
We pack every order with care to ensure it arrives safely. Posters and prints are rolled and placed in a sturdy cardboard tube, which is then secured in a shipping box.
Important Note on Combined Orders:
Please be aware that certain items, like books and posters, cannot be safely packed together due to their different shapes and sizes. As a result, an order containing multiple item types may be shipped in separate packages and incur separate shipping fees. - Shipping Rates & Carriers
We ship worldwide from Paris via La Poste (France's national postal service), using their Colissimo, Priority Mail services with the exception of certain products shipped via UPS. Shipping costs are automatically calculated at checkout based on the weight, volume, and destination of your package. If you require a different carrier (e.g., UPS, FedEx, DHL), please contact us before placing your order to arrange it. - Estimated Transit Times
Once your order has shipped, the estimated delivery times are as follows:

3. Free In-Store Pickup (Paris)
You can skip the shipping fees with our free local pickup service at our bookshop in Paris.
- How it Works:
Simply select the "Pick up" option at checkout.
* The "Pick up" option is displayed based on your location. If you are ordering from outside of France but wish to collect your order at our bookshop in Paris, please select "France" as the delivery country first. The "Pick up" option will then become available. If the location still does not appear, you can click on "Search elsewhere" and enter the postcode 75003. - Preparation Time:
In-stock items will be ready for pickup within 24 hours (Tuesday-Saturday). This does not apply to made-to-order items like art prints and t-shirts. - Notification:
We will send you an email as soon as your order is ready for collection, along with instructions. - Pickup Hours:

Return Policy
- 14 to 30-Day Returns: You have 14 clear days from delivery to notify us of your return if you reside within the European Union, and 30 days for orders delivered outside the European Union.
- Item Condition: Items must be returned intact, new, and securely packaged in their original condition to be eligible for a refund.
- Contact Us First: Before sending an item back, you must email us at shop@yvon-lambert.com to notify us of your decision and receive return instructions.
- Shipping Costs: Return shipping costs are your sole responsibility.
- Damaged Items: If your order arrives damaged, please send us photographs of both the package and the item by email as soon as possible (within 48 to 72 hours). If the package is visibly damaged upon delivery, you may refuse it directly with the carrier.
- International Returns (Non EU): To prevent customs charges upon arrival in France, you must clearly mark "RETURNED GOODS" on the customs declaration form (CN22/CN23) as well as on the outside of the package.
- Refunds: Once your return is received and inspected at our store, your refund will be processed within 14 days using your original payment method.
- Non-refundable Items: Magazines and custom or made-to-order items are non-refundable.
