Casa Dalí opens up Salvador Dalí’s home on the shores of Spain’s Costa Brava, with photos by Coco Capitán offering a rare glimpse of the artist’s surreal house and workshop. Purchased by Dalí in the early 1930s, the house served as the artist’s primary residence and workspace, the birthplace of some of his most famous paintings, including The Persistence of Memory.
A special introduction by architect Oscar Tusquets Blanca recounts his 15-year friendship with Dalí, while exclusive new photos by Coco Capitán capture the artist’s home in the same golden light that drew him to the Mediterranean village of Portlligat, where he ‘claimed that he was the first Spaniard to see the sun rise’. Coco’s photos lure readers into the grandeur of the artist’s home as a site of active creation—both of life and of art—where the worn ephemera of Dalí’s studio appear alongside images of his infamous taxidermy collection, the iconic couch modelled after Mae West’s mouth, and the distinctive white exteriors that also shaped one of our best sellers, The Modern Architecture of Cadaqués: 1955–71.
An original poem by Coco, written at the time she photographed the house, adorns the front and back covers, emblematic of her introspective approach to a practice that defies a single medium. Through these firsthand accounts, Casa Dalí grants special access to an eccentric space that stands as its own Dalinian creation, both witness and inspiration to the artist’s definitive style.

We process orders from Tuesday to Friday, excluding public holidays.

Our photo prints and t-shirts are produced on-demand. Please allow 2-3 weeks for production before these items are shipped. - In-Stock Items (All Other Products)
All other orders are processed and prepared for shipment within 1-2 business days. - Order Notifications
You will receive a confirmation email immediately after your purchase. A second email with tracking information will be sent as soon as your order has shipped. - Restocking
Occasionally, some item may be in the process of restocking. If this causes a delay in preparing your order, we will contact you directly by email to inform you.
2. Shipping & Delivery
- Packaging
We pack every order with care to ensure it arrives safely. Posters and prints are rolled and placed in a sturdy cardboard tube, which is then secured in a shipping box.
Important Note on Combined Orders:
Please be aware that certain items, like books and posters, cannot be safely packed together due to their different shapes and sizes. As a result, an order containing multiple item types may be shipped in separate packages and incur separate shipping fees. - Shipping Rates & Carriers
We ship worldwide from Paris via La Poste (France's national postal service), using their Colissimo, Priority Mail services with the exception of certain products shipped via UPS. Shipping costs are automatically calculated at checkout based on the weight, volume, and destination of your package. If you require a different carrier (e.g., UPS, FedEx, DHL), please contact us before placing your order to arrange it. - Estimated Transit Times
Once your order has shipped, the estimated delivery times are as follows:

3. Free In-Store Pickup (Paris)
You can skip the shipping fees with our free local pickup service at our bookshop in Paris.
- How it Works:
Simply select the "Pick up" option at checkout.
* The "Pick up" option is displayed based on your location. If you are ordering from outside of France but wish to collect your order at our bookshop in Paris, please select "France" as the delivery country first. The "Pick up" option will then become available. If the location still does not appear, you can click on "Search elsewhere" and enter the postcode 75003. - Preparation Time:
In-stock items will be ready for pickup within 24 hours (Tuesday-Saturday). This does not apply to made-to-order items like art prints and t-shirts. - Notification:
We will send you an email as soon as your order is ready for collection, along with instructions. - Pickup Hours:

Return Policy
- 14 to 30-Day Returns: You have 14 clear days from delivery to notify us of your return if you reside within the European Union, and 30 days for orders delivered outside the European Union.
- Item Condition: Items must be returned intact, new, and securely packaged in their original condition to be eligible for a refund.
- Contact Us First: Before sending an item back, you must email us at shop@yvon-lambert.com to notify us of your decision and receive return instructions.
- Shipping Costs: Return shipping costs are your sole responsibility.
- Damaged Items: If your order arrives damaged, please send us photographs of both the package and the item by email as soon as possible (within 48 to 72 hours). If the package is visibly damaged upon delivery, you may refuse it directly with the carrier.
- International Returns (Non EU): To prevent customs charges upon arrival in France, you must clearly mark "RETURNED GOODS" on the customs declaration form (CN22/CN23) as well as on the outside of the package.
- Refunds: Once your return is received and inspected at our store, your refund will be processed within 14 days using your original payment method.
- Non-refundable Items: Magazines and custom or made-to-order items are non-refundable.
