What echoes reverberate when we truly listen?
When we hold a sound and examine it, sense its presence and absence? By listening deeply to stories, places, bodies, landscapes—even to apparent nothingness—we can perceive what remains invisible yet profoundly present through its resonance.
We inhabit a world shaped by echoes from the past—traces inscribed in our thinking patterns, climate conditions, relationships, and perceptions. Every action we take creates new resonances, layering upon or transforming existing ones. In a burning world, the question becomes urgent: Which of these echoes do we wish to amplify, reduce, or create anew?
Eco Echoes draws inspiration from Ursula K. Le Guin’s The Carrier Bag Theory of Fiction, which proposes a radical rethinking of narratives beyond traditional tales of conflict and conquest. Le Guin suggests that the earliest human tools were containers—bags and baskets—symbolizing gathering and nurturing rather than violence. Following this vision, we view books as carrier bags: vessels that hold complexity, community, and continuity.
The works presented here are excerpts and quotes from books within the BaseCamp Library, offering diverse ecological perspectives beyond mainstream narratives, making visible the complex connections between environmental, social, and cultural systems. These are stories of echoes within ecologies, effects of actions within ecosystems, and thoughts on how dichotomies and objectivities impact all beings. They carry concepts for action, rewritings, and the making of kinship.
The collection features artistic approaches that invite new ways of sensing, functioning as both conversation starters and springboards to dive deeper into specific visions and realities. As global exchanges of ideas are essential for developing strategies to consciously select and amplify important stories, this collection presents diverse perspectives on ecologies and their reverberations. It encourages sensing the echoes that shape our present and imagining new resonances for collective futures.
BaseCamp Library is a book space initiated by the BaseCamp Festival that invites the public to discover art and ideas through books while providing an open space for gathering, meeting, exchanging, and inspiration. Launched in 2024, the library’s selection reflects topics related to the broader universe of cinema, beginning with a focus on sound in its inaugural edition. Conceived as a living archive that grows with each edition and travels throughout the year to other art spaces, the library maintains an organic platform and network that fosters community and exchange.
From its debut edition, Hold The Sound, the library expands with ninety additional books connected to themes of echoes, the effects of actions, and their impact on ecologies. The excerpts and quotes in this publication are drawn from books within this collection and present essential stories, ideas, observations, and speculations about our interconnected world. Here, books inspire meaningful connection across boundaries, where we can listen to what Le Guin called “the seeds still to be gathered,” finding room in the bag of stars.

1. Order Processing & Production
We process orders from Tuesday to Friday, excluding public holidays.
- Made-to-Order Items (Photo prints & T-Shirts)
Our photo prints and t-shirts are produced on-demand. Please allow 2-3 weeks for production before these items are shipped. - In-Stock Items (All Other Products)
All other orders are processed and prepared for shipment within 1-2 business days. - Order Notifications
You will receive a confirmation email immediately after your purchase. A second email with tracking information will be sent as soon as your order has shipped. - Restocking
Occasionally, some item may be in the process of restocking. If this causes a delay in preparing your order, we will contact you directly by email to inform you.
2. Shipping & Delivery
- Packaging
We pack every order with care to ensure it arrives safely. Posters and prints are rolled and placed in a sturdy cardboard tube, which is then secured in a shipping box.
Important Note on Combined Orders:
Please be aware that certain items, like books and posters, cannot be safely packed together due to their different shapes and sizes. As a result, an order containing multiple item types may be shipped in separate packages and incur separate shipping fees. - Shipping Rates & Carriers
We ship worldwide from Paris via La Poste (France's national postal service), using their Colissimo, Priority Mail services with the exception of certain products shipped via UPS. Shipping costs are automatically calculated at checkout based on the weight, volume, and destination of your package. If you require a different carrier (e.g., UPS, FedEx, DHL), please contact us before placing your order to arrange it. - Estimated Transit Times
Once your order has shipped, the estimated delivery times are as follows:

Europe: 3-5 business days
International: 5-8 business days
Standard / Priority Mail (With tracking number, No Signature)

3. Free In-Store Pickup (Paris)
You can skip the shipping fees with our free local pickup service at our bookshop in Paris.
- How it Works:
Simply select the "Pick up" option at checkout.
* The "Pick up" option is displayed based on your location. If you are ordering from outside of France but wish to collect your order at our bookshop in Paris, please select "France" as the delivery country first. The "Pick up" option will then become available. If the location still does not appear, you can click on "Search elsewhere" and enter the postcode 75003. - Preparation Time:
In-stock items will be ready for pickup within 24 hours (Tuesday-Saturday). This does not apply to made-to-order items like art prints and t-shirts. - Notification:
We will send you an email as soon as your order is ready for collection, along with instructions. - Pickup Hours:

Return Policy
- 14 to 30-Day Returns: You have 14 clear days from delivery to notify us of your return if you reside within the European Union, and 30 days for orders delivered outside the European Union.
- Item Condition: Items must be returned intact, new, and securely packaged in their original condition to be eligible for a refund.
- Contact Us First: Before sending an item back, you must email us at shop@yvon-lambert.com to notify us of your decision and receive return instructions.
- Shipping Costs: Return shipping costs are your sole responsibility.
- Damaged Items: If your order arrives damaged, please send us photographs of both the package and the item by email as soon as possible (within 48 to 72 hours). If the package is visibly damaged upon delivery, you may refuse it directly with the carrier.
- International Returns (Non EU): To prevent customs charges upon arrival in France, you must clearly mark "RETURNED GOODS" on the customs declaration form (CN22/CN23) as well as on the outside of the package.
- Refunds: Once your return is received and inspected at our store, your refund will be processed within 14 days using your original payment method.
- Non-refundable Items: Magazines and custom or made-to-order items are non-refundable.
