Jason Dodge
The see-ers
American artist Jason Dodge (b. 1969) lives and works in Møn, Denmark.
Titled “The See-ers”, this edition takes the form of a bound notebook gathering facsimiles of various found papers selected by the artist. Each copy features twenty-two original lithographs, printed at the Michael Woolworth studio by Étienne de Champfleury, Laurence Lépron, Julien Torhy, and Michael Woolworth.
The text was set in Baskerville type on 130 gsm Hahnemühle Esquisse Pastel paper, with photogravure by Vincent Fardoux and binding executed by Atelier Houdart.
The complete work is housed in a lidless blue-grey cloth box, featuring two front flaps that fasten with a string wound around two red washers. This custom casing was crafted by Établissements Dermont-Duval.
