Ide at Poubelle
The <Ide at> is a collection of found objects by Kenji Ide. The word following "at" is the name of the location where the collection was first presented.
Kenji Ide (b. 1981, Yokosuka, Japan). lives and works in Tokyo.
Ide’s work always focuses on the relationship between people and the sense of time that surrounds them. The small works, which can be viewed from above, evoke memories and experiences of the past as well as a diary. Using a material language to turn these abstract images into objects and three-dimensional works may be close to the sensation of building with the time of each material. The wood used as material and the found objects that Ide finds on the street create a visually intimate effect on personal time and relationships. At the heart of Ide’s work lies the idea of giving form to ambiguous atmospheres and memories through the use of air as a structure.Recent exhibitions include ”The time of a shadow” at Matthew Brown, ”Some other times” at Museum of Broniwski + Wschód, Warsaw, ”Boy meets Girl” Basel Paris Emergence booth from KAYOKOYUKI, “American friend” at Adams and Ollman Portland, « Two persons, two times » at KAYOKOYUKI Tokyo, « In search of the Miraculous » Wschod Warsaw, « Tsukimi / Yugen (Jiri Kovanda, Kenji Ide tow artists show) » at Guimarães Vienna, « Plum Shower » at XYZ collective.
