A Lot of Work is a new monograph dedicated to the work of the restlessly inventive Belgian design studio Muller Van Severen. Shaped by 15 years of seminal practice, it is the first to present Fien Muller and Hannes Van Severen both together and as individual artists, charting the energies of their solo trajectories alongside their shared design language. Approaching the monograph as a collage, the book traces what has unfolded over the past decade and a half, what preceded it, and what may yet come—shaped, as the title suggests, by a lot of work. Raw and ruminative in structure, it draws from their private and public archives to allow ‘images to speak through adjacency rather than explanation’, as Hannes explains in his opening text. The result ‘feels less like a retrospective and more like a pause’, he writes—‘A breath’. Edited by Nicolás Barreto and Nacho Alegre, co-founder of Apartamento, the book sits somewhere between an art book and something else entirely—an elusive object poised between visual storytelling and asynchronous narrative. A 224-page invitation to witness an oeuvre of design sensibility and all the work behind it, A Lot of Work allows meaning to arise through proximity and contrast, offering a glimpse into how the pair find permission to cut, question, rearrange, and gently unsettle the objects that surround them. Alongside A Lot of Work comes Silhouettes, a collection of candleholders in 100 percent raw aluminium, created in collaboration with BD Barcelona, to mark Muller Van Severen’s 15th anniversary.
About Muller Van Severen
Founded in 2011 by Belgian artists Fien Muller and Hannes Van Severen, Muller Van Severen grew from years of individual artistic practice and a shared desire to rethink the everyday. Their collaboration began with functional objects and evolved into a distinctive language shaped by sculpture, architecture, and use, independent of trends. Their furniture exists as drawings in space: fine lines, transparency, and openness allow both the environment and objects within to remain visible. Solid, timeless materials are used in their purest form, combined in unexpected ways, while colour becomes a structural element, shaping rhythm and perception. Through this approach, Muller Van Severen has forged a singular, internationally recognised voice in contemporary design.

Our photo prints and t-shirts are produced on-demand. Please allow 2-3 weeks for production before these items are shipped. - In-Stock Items (All Other Products)
All other orders are processed and prepared for shipment within 1-2 business days. - Order Notifications
You will receive a confirmation email immediately after your purchase. A second email with tracking information will be sent as soon as your order has shipped. - Restocking
Occasionally, some item may be in the process of restocking. If this causes a delay in preparing your order, we will contact you directly by email to inform you.
2. Shipping & Delivery
- Packaging
We pack every order with care to ensure it arrives safely. Posters and prints are rolled and placed in a sturdy cardboard tube, which is then secured in a shipping box.
Important Note on Combined Orders:
Please be aware that certain items, like books and posters, cannot be safely packed together due to their different shapes and sizes. As a result, an order containing multiple item types may be shipped in separate packages and incur separate shipping fees. - Shipping Rates & Carriers
We ship worldwide from Paris via La Poste (France's national postal service), using their Colissimo, Priority Mail services. Shipping costs are automatically calculated at checkout based on the weight, volume, and destination of your package. If you require a different carrier (e.g., UPS, FedEx, DHL), please contact us before placing your order to arrange it. - Estimated Transit Times
Once your order has shipped, the estimated delivery times are as follows:

3. Free In-Store Pickup (Paris)
You can skip the shipping fees with our free local pickup service at our bookshop in Paris.
- How it Works:
Simply select the "Pick up" option at checkout.
* The "Pick up" option is displayed based on your location. If you are ordering from outside of France but wish to collect your order at our bookshop in Paris, please select "France" as the delivery country first. The "Pick up" option will then become available. If the location still does not appear, you can click on "Search elsewhere" and enter the postcode 75003. - Preparation Time:
In-stock items will be ready for pickup within 24 hours (Tuesday-Saturday). This does not apply to made-to-order items like art prints and t-shirts. - Notification:
We will send you an email as soon as your order is ready for collection, along with instructions. - Pickup Hours:

Return Policy
- 14 to 30-Day Returns: You have 14 clear days from delivery to notify us of your return if you reside within the European Union, and 30 days for orders delivered outside the European Union.
- Item Condition: Items must be returned intact, new, and securely packaged in their original condition to be eligible for a refund.
- Contact Us First: Before sending an item back, you must email us at shop@yvon-lambert.com to notify us of your decision and receive return instructions.
- Shipping Costs: Return shipping costs are your sole responsibility.
- Damaged Items: If your order arrives damaged, please send us photographs of both the package and the item by email as soon as possible (within 48 to 72 hours). If the package is visibly damaged upon delivery, you may refuse it directly with the carrier.
- International Returns (Non EU): To prevent customs charges upon arrival in France, you must clearly mark "RETURNED GOODS" on the customs declaration form (CN22/CN23) as well as on the outside of the package.
- Refunds: Once your return is received and inspected at our store, your refund will be processed within 14 days using your original payment method.
- Non-refundable Items: Magazines and custom or made-to-order items are non-refundable.
