This is the story of Christine Newby, known as Carol, Cosmosis, Cosey, Cosey Fanni Tutti... She is the one who tells us the story, and it is essential that we hear it from her: Art Sex Music offers a unique insight, rooted in intimacy, into the British underground, the world of pornography and the art scene. A multidisciplinary artist and key figure in the history of industrial music (with Throbbing Gristle) and synth wave (with Chris & Cosey), Cosey Fanni Tutti is also known for her years with the variable geometry collective COUM Transmissions, as well as for her work as a performer and visual artist, which highlights the porosity between the art market and the sex industry, the need to perform rituals, and so much more. Drawing on excerpts from her diaries, she talks to us about domestic work and striptease, squatting, drugs and forms, sex and love, subversion and caring for others. Although Cosey Fanni Tutti never stopped experimenting, her life quickly became based on an extreme principle of identity: my life = my work. Her story is that of a woman constantly fighting for her independence in her many family, artistic, sexual and romantic relationships. In a profusion of collaborations, through improbable successes, and to the rhythm of the joys and disappointments of reunions, we see the emergence of relationships of manipulation and domination, but also the formation of unfathomable friendships. In Art Sexe Musique, everything is in everything, but in the first person: the book is both a specific and a cross-cutting perspective on the English underground from the 1960s to the present day, and an electrifying testimony to what art does to a life.
Cosey Fanni Tutti was born Christine Carole Newby on 4 November 1951 in Kingston-upon-Hull, England. A multidisciplinary artist, performer, visual artist, singer, composer and musician, she participated in the 1970s in the activities of the performance art group COUM Transmissions with Genesis P-Orridge, before co-founding the group Throbbing Gristle, known for its music prematurely labelled "industrial music", and then the duo Chris & Cosey. She regularly performed as a stripper, pornographic actress and model for erotic magazines..

You will receive a confirmation email immediately after your purchase. A second email with tracking information will be sent as soon as your order has shipped. - Restocking
Occasionally, some item may be in the process of restocking. If this causes a delay in preparing your order, we will contact you directly by email to inform you.
2. Shipping & Delivery
- Packaging
We pack every order with care to ensure it arrives safely. Posters and prints are rolled and placed in a sturdy cardboard tube, which is then secured in a shipping box.
Important Note on Combined Orders:
Please be aware that certain items, like books and posters, cannot be safely packed together due to their different shapes and sizes. As a result, an order containing multiple item types may be shipped in separate packages and incur separate shipping fees. - Shipping Rates & Carriers
We ship worldwide from Paris via La Poste (France's national postal service), using their Colissimo, Priority Mail services. Shipping costs are automatically calculated at checkout based on the weight, volume, and destination of your package. If you require a different carrier (e.g., UPS, FedEx, DHL), please contact us before placing your order to arrange it. - Estimated Transit Times

3. Free In-Store Pickup (Paris)
You can skip the shipping fees with our free local pickup service at our bookshop in Paris.

If you are ordering from outside of France but wish to collect your order at our bookshop in Paris, please select "France" as the delivery country first. The "Pick up" option will then become available. If the location still does not appear, you can click on "Search elsewhere" and enter the postcode 75003. - Preparation Time:
In-stock items will be ready for pickup within 24 hours (Tuesday-Saturday). This does not apply to made-to-order items like art prints and t-shirts. - Notification:

Return Policy
- 14 to 30-Day Returns: You have 14 clear days from delivery to notify us of your return if you reside within the European Union, and 30 days for orders delivered outside the European Union.
- Item Condition: Items must be returned intact, new, and securely packaged in their original condition to be eligible for a refund.
- Contact Us First: Before sending an item back, you must email us at shop@yvon-lambert.com to notify us of your decision and receive return instructions.
- Shipping Costs: Return shipping costs are your sole responsibility.
- Damaged Items: If your order arrives damaged, please send us photographs of both the package and the item by email as soon as possible (within 48 to 72 hours). If the package is visibly damaged upon delivery, you may refuse it directly with the carrier.
- International Returns (Non EU): To prevent customs charges upon arrival in France, you must clearly mark "RETURNED GOODS" on the customs declaration form (CN22/CN23) as well as on the outside of the package.
- Refunds: Once your return is received and inspected at our store, your refund will be processed within 14 days using your original payment method.
- Non-refundable Items: Magazines and custom or made-to-order items are non-refundable.
