Ce livre présente les photographies de Daphné Bengoa et Leo Fabrizio, fruit d’un projet mené en commun sur l’œuvre algérienne de l’architecte français Fernand Pouillon (1912-1986). En Algérie, ce bâtisseur effréné fut en effet le maître d’œuvre de plusieurs cités (Climat de France, Diar-el-Mahçoul, etc.), de complexes touristiques (par exemple Sidi Fredj), de logements étudiants (notamment la cité universitaire Bab Ezzouar). Les deux photographes ont effectué huit voyages en Algérie pour documenter ce volet de son travail méconnu du grand public et en présenter ici un choix représentatif.
Ce double corpus met en lumière la singulière interdépendance entre bâtir et habiter dont l’œuvre de Pouillon est exemplaire. Leo Fabrizio, muni d’un matériel imposant, s’est attaché à photographier le temps long et les bâtiments dans leur état actuel, tandis que Daphné Bengoa, de son côté, est entrée dans l’intimité des foyers et s’est plutôt intéressée au temps court, aux habitants des cités de Pouillon et aux travailleurs de ses complexes touristiques.
S'inspirant librement de sa connaissance intime de l’Algérie, l'écrivaine algérienne Kaouther Adimi est partie de ce corpus de photographies pour proposer un texte poignant, inédit, s’attachant à la vie d’une famille habitant l’une des cités de Fernand Pouillon, la cité aux deux cents colonnes.
Le photographe Leo Fabrizio (1976) vit et travaille à Lausanne. Son premier livre monographique Bunkers(2004) lui apporte une reconnaissance internationale, avec de nombreuses expositions, notamment la 9eBiennale d’architecture de Venise. Lauréat de prix prestigieux comme les bourses Leenaards (2004) ou le concours Suisse de design (2003, 2006, 2001). Daphné Bengoa (1981) vit et travaille à Paris comme photographe et cinéaste indépendante. Elle collabore en outre comme commissaire d’exposition et productrice à de nombreux projets culturels.
Ce projet fait l'objet d'une exposition à l'abbaye de Montmajour aux Rencontres d’Arles 2019.

Our photo prints and t-shirts are produced on-demand. Please allow 2-3 weeks for production before these items are shipped. - In-Stock Items (All Other Products)
All other orders are processed and prepared for shipment within 1-2 business days. - Order Notifications
You will receive a confirmation email immediately after your purchase. A second email with tracking information will be sent as soon as your order has shipped. - Restocking
Occasionally, some item may be in the process of restocking. If this causes a delay in preparing your order, we will contact you directly by email to inform you.
2. Shipping & Delivery
- Packaging
We pack every order with care to ensure it arrives safely. Posters and prints are rolled and placed in a sturdy cardboard tube, which is then secured in a shipping box.
Important Note on Combined Orders:
Please be aware that certain items, like books and posters, cannot be safely packed together due to their different shapes and sizes. As a result, an order containing multiple item types may be shipped in separate packages and incur separate shipping fees. - Shipping Rates & Carriers
We ship worldwide from Paris via La Poste (France's national postal service), using their Colissimo, Priority Mail, or Delivengo services. Shipping costs are automatically calculated at checkout based on the weight, volume, and destination of your package. If you require a different carrier (e.g., UPS, FedEx, DHL), please contact us before placing your order to arrange it. - Estimated Transit Times
Once your order has shipped, the estimated delivery times are as follows:

3. Free In-Store Pickup (Paris)
You can skip the shipping fees with our free local pickup service at our bookshop in Paris.

Simply select the "Pick up" option at checkout. - Preparation Time:
In-stock items will be ready for pickup within 24 hours (Tuesday-Saturday). This does not apply to made-to-order items like art prints and t-shirts. - Notification:

Return Policy
- 30-Day Returns: You can return any item within 30 days of delivery, as long as it's in new, unused condition.
- Contact Us First: Always email us at shop@yvon-lambert.com before sending anything back. We’ll guide you through the process.
- Shipping Costs: You are responsible for return shipping costs. Please note that original shipping fees are non-refundable.
- Exchanges: Yes, we offer exchanges. Contact us to arrange it. You will need to cover the new shipping fee.
- Damaged Item: If your order arrives damaged, email us photos within 48 hours. If the box looks badly damaged upon arrival, you can refuse the delivery.
- International Returns: You must write "RETURNED GOODS" clearly on the outside of the package to avoid customs fees.
- Refunds: Once we approve your return, your refund will be processed to your original payment method.
