Belgian conceptual artist Kris Martin explores time, memory, and mortality through poetic gestures.

The title references the forget-me-not, a delicate blue flower symbolizing love and remembrance. The project draws upon the tradition of pressing and drying this flower between the pages of a heavy volume, such as a telephone directory.

Conceived directly around this idea, this 984-page publication features a facsimile of the official 1961 Paris telephone directory (alphabetical listings A to L) adapted by the artist, inside which a real dried forget-me-not is inserted. The cover displays the title handwritten by Kris Martin.

Printed on 80 gsm Woodstock Betulla paper, the volume was conceived by Kris Martin and Yvon Lambert, with typography and design by Randoald Sabbe and project management by Tim Vanheers.
